Just a friendly reminder to parents, that money for the walkathon is now being collected.

A pizza party is up for grabs for the home-group who brings their money in first!

Premiers' Reading Challenge

The Premiers' Reading Challenge is upon us once again!

Children and parents can collect forms from Room 14 (ask Sia).

Your child can select books from a level list. The online system allows a student to select any book from the book list, regardless of the year level to which it has been allocated. It is then up to your child's teacher or school Challenge coordinator to approve, through online verification, their reading list as appropriate and challenging.

Rules for school and student Challengers

• Students must register as a Challenger and keep a record of their reading on the Challenge website.
• Students must read a set number of books during the Challenge:

Year level	Number of books	Number from the Challenge book list
Prep – Year 2	30 books	20 or more

• Students' online books must be verified as read by a coordinator in at school.
• All information must be completed online before 14 September 2015.

Prep, Year 1 or Year 2

If children are in Prep, Year 1 or Year 2 they can read books by themselves or with someone else, for example, a parent, teacher, brother or sister, classmate, buddy or friend. This support is important if they are just learning to read.

Walkathon

We were very lucky the weather held out!

The children were incredibly excited to take part in the Walkathon. 

Thank you to all the parents who assisted on the day to set up and distribute muffins and fruit.

Walkathon

Dear parents and carers,

A reminder that next Tuesday, 19^th May is our annual Walkathon.

Please ensure that your child has appropriate footwear and attire for the day, in addition to a named water bottle. You are more than welcome to join the children on their laps.

The Walkathon commences at 12.15pm, with a break at 1:00pm. Children will resume walking at 1.15pm and finish at 2:00pm.

The picnic will commence at 2:00pm.

Could all parents/carers who have offered their services to help with serving afternoon tea meet in the staffroom on Tuesday at 1.15. There you will sort the muffins and fruit into trays for each home group.

If you have offered to bring a picnic rug can you please arrive by 1.50.

Students in years 3-6 will have their picnic on the back oval, students in prep-2 on the mini oval.

Reminder- Mother's Day Stall

A quick reminder that the Mother's Day stall will be operating tomorrow (Friday 8th). Please remember to send money with you child/ren if you would like them to take part. Thanks.

Learning Agreement

As part of our inquiry on ‘Creativity’ and in particular our focus on how, Messages can be relayed and received through different forms of expression, the children have been developing key understandings on the various ways in which we express ourselves.
Currently we are working with Nova Weetman (Arlo's mum) to develop characters for a story.  Nova worked with four groups and develop the characters;

ANZAC Day

Last week we commemorated ANZAC Day in neighbourhood one.  We remember by...
